Stream of Consciousness
healinghealing the silence
with words
breaking shaking the silence
taking it back
with words
disturbing the silence
words chopped and dropped
into the silence
cropped and curt with meaning
stopping the silence
with a breath a breach of meaning
a death an end to the silent half of living
crushed
hushed
shushed
denied too long and rushing now
to bring the stinging words
half-silent whispering a shout
exploding denial and doubt and yelling
telling spelling out in words
what this has been about
repression
oppression
suppression
depression
half-rage half-sorrow
the raging caging words crammed and dammed
into black holes and hollows
dark underwater caverns
silenced by silt of guilt and now force-fed
with flood of anger,
angry now
and moving
past obstructions
flash-flooding out and down
a stream of silenced dreams
and held-back screams
down rocky roads and mountains
running wild, a torrent, a raging current
tempestuous, untempered
into the open, opening up
the grave, the caves, where brave mistaken silence
now lies broken
by what has finally been spoken
